IPL™ Photoplane
IPL™ Photoplane
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Photoplane is a combination of the IPL PhotoFacial and Dermaplaning. Dermaplaning is a low-risk, non-abrasive exfoliating treatment that utilizes a 10-gauge scalpel to gently scrape off the epidermis (top layer of skin) of dead skin cells and of fine vellus hair otherwise referred to as “peach fuzz”.
Your medical aesthetician will first dermaplane your skin, and then proceed to treat you with IPL, a state-of-the-art technology that uses different wavelengths of light to penetrate the deepest levels of the skin. IPL decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; eliminates age spots; reduce redness and broken capillaries; treats rosacea and melasma; evens skin tone and promotes collagen production.
Treatment & Results
The entire procedure lasts approximately one hour. The procedure involves only minimal discomfort. Some patients experience redness and swelling post IPL™ treatment but this resolves quickly. The benefits of the treatment are most often seen gradually in the weeks following the procedure.
There is no recovery time required for dermaplaning or IPL and patients can immediately resume their normal daily activities post-treatment.
Post Care
After the treatment, it is imperative that patients avoid the sun and apply sun protection for at least two weeks.. An IPL treatment can give you excellent results for up to a year. We encourage a yearly treatment to maintain results.
