Custom Chemical Peels

The Custom Chemical Peel is a state-of-the-art skincare treatment that is used to treat a variety of different skincare issues. This peel is composed primarily of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and works to slowly penetrate the skin. The Custom Chemical Peel is capable of minimizing and often even eliminating age spots and areas of hyperpigmentation.

Your medical aesthetician will take approximately 45 minutes to cleanse, apply and neutralize your peel. It is not uncommon to feel some light stinging on your face. Some patients ask if they can have a small portable fan, which provides almost complete relief. Once the peel is neutralized, you can expect to see some redness and swelling within the first 12 hours. Your face will begin to show signs of peeling after the first two to three days and can continue to peel for approximately four to five days. The most obvious results will be seen on day seven or eight after your treatment. Your face will appear brighter, tighter and healthier.

Your medical aesthetician will cleanse your face prior to administering the peel. Post-treatment, you will be advised not to peel your face, as tempting as that may be. It is important not to damage the new layer of skin by pulling off peeling skin that is not quite ready to come off. Make sure to apply a heavy moisturizer and sunscreen liberally after your treatment.
