  • How long does Botox ACTUALLY last?

Ok so let’s be real…. How long does Botox ACTUALLY last? There’s a ton of information out there so let me break it down for you!

    When will I see results?

First things first, Botox isn’t instant!!! You’ll start to notice your muscles relaxing around day 5-7, but the full results take up to two weeks to really settle in – so don’t panic if it’s not perfect right away!

    How long does it last?

For the first 2-3 weeks, you’ll feel pretty tight and smooth — love that  Then things will slowly start to loosen up, and you’ll notice more natural movement as time goes on. On average, Botox lasts about 12-16 weeks and most people start seeing a little movement back by week 6-8. Don’t worry though, it doesn’t just stop all at once, it’s a gradual fade!

    You do you!

Something I cannot stress enough is that EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT!!! If you like a more natural vibe, a smaller dose can last around 12 weeks. But if you’re into that super smooth look, a higher dose could last up to 4 months! It’s totally customizable. Also keep in mind things like metabolism, age, and lifestyle can affect how long your Botox sticks around. The soonest you can get a touch-up is 12 weeks, but you can wait longer if that works for you!

Finding the dosage and treatment areas right for you is the most important part of the process, so even if you’ve tried it before and didn’t get the results you’d hoped for, book a consultation with me because I bet I can change your mind!

  • Welcome Back J. Marie!

    Welcome Back! Meet

Jaclyn McCreesh, Aesthetic Nurse Injector Extraordinaire!

    Jaclyn McCreesh / RN, BSN

Jaclyn’s career path of 17 years in aesthetics before joining the Bella Body Medical Spa couldn’t have been better suited to prepare her for the work she does now as one of the Aesthetic Nurse Injection Specialist’s.

She has mastered a number of skillsets closely related to what she currently practices within the field of cosmetic dermatology; as a licensed aesthetician from Jean Madeline Aveda Institute in historic Philadelphia, Jaclyn was already a trained professional by the time she became a registered nurse – not to mention, a mother of three (her proudest accomplishment to date).

Her knowledge of facial anatomy, assessment of aging and creative use of injectables early on in her career, led her to develop excellent aesthetic skills and critical know-how.

Jaclyn brings her inspiration to the field not only from her artistic talents (she worked for a time as a freelance makeup artist with specialized training in facial contouring), and prior experiences as a beauty professional (having worked at high end salons and spas in the heart of Bucks County), but from a place of genuine passion – the ability to provide her patients with a service that will leave them feeling as great as they look. Her gracious, attentive and caring attitude helps clients relax while she creates a natural look that beautifully optimizes each person’s unique features.

She currently holds her bachelors degree of science in nursing from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Jaclyn is known for her ability to combine medical expertise with exceptional artistic talent. As the technology continues to advance, she helps each patient achieve optimum results with almost any skin type, budget or time frame.

Passionate about skin care and medical aesthetics, Jaclyn takes pride in providing conservative alternatives to aging skin as opposed to invasive, surgical procedures. Having a keen eye for what aesthetically compliments an individual is Jaclyn’s attribute to having patients walk away confident in having improved something about their cosmetic appearance.

Jaclyn grew up in Philadelphia and has lived in Bucks County for almost a decade. She is a mother to three children and enjoys a rich and fulfilling home life where she loves to entertain, cook, and enjoy the outdoors. Her other passions are CrossFit, marathoning and participating in triathlon’s. Trying to make her husband enjoy the paleo diet, making sure her 18-year-olds ready for college, and her 12-year-old’s home work is done and her 7 year olds teeth are brushed, keeps her busy outside of the spa.

We are thrilled to have Jacklyn (J. Marie) back with us at Bella Body Medical Spa! With her wealth of experience and passion for aesthetics, Jaclyn is ready to work her magic and help you achieve your goals. Don’t miss the opportunity to book an appointment with Jaclyn and experience her exceptional care firsthand. Reach out today to schedule your personalized treatment with our talented Aesthetic Nurse Injector!

  • Take Your Look to the Next Level with Microblading at Bella Body Medical Spa in Yardley Pa

Microblading is taking the industry by storm! The latest, most advanced technique to rejuvenate your brows and define your eyes.

You Probably Have Heard About It, But What Is It?

Microblading is a semi-permanent pigmentation process that uses several fine blades to partially or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hair. This procedure allows for customization of thickness, shape, color, and definition to eyebrows.

    How It Works

Unlike traditional cosmetic tattoos that are applied to the dermis, a deeper layer of skin, microblading is applied to the upper epidermis, a layer of skin closer to the surface. This technique gives the hair strokes a more natural, fine, feathered look and lasts for up to one year. The 100% natural pigments are tailored to each person’s skin and brow color. Those who suffer from thinning eyebrows, patches of undergrowth or overgrowth, or even people suffering from skin conditions such as alopecia will greatly benefit from the self confidence that is instilled with the prefect eyebrows framing their face.

    What Should I Expect?

Your goals and expectations will be discussed during your microblading consultation. The actual microblading treatment requires two sessions that are six weeks apart to reach optimal results.

The procedure itself takes approximately 2 hours from start to finish. The majority of this time is dedicated to extensive prep work to ensure we match the perfect eyebrow shape and brow color that best suits you. A topical anesthetic will be applied prior to the treatment area to minimize any discomfort. Once the procedure is complete, minor redness and swelling is expected to occur. Initially the color of the new brow will look very dark, but this will soften as it heals over. The most important thing is to keep this area clean and dry as it heals. Also, It is important to note that there is no sweating for 48 hours after the procedure.

We want to provide only the best in class service and treatments at Bella Body Medical Spa. We are committed to a customized plan for any of your facial concerns and the treatment that will best meet your individual needs.
